TANAHUN: Preparations have been made to open the Aanbukhaireni-Mugling road section of Tanahun, which was blocked by dry landslide on Friday morning. The road was made one-sided yesterday with the help of Aabukhaireni village municipality and road department.
According to the District Police Office, Tanahu, the landslide near Ainapahara of Aanbukhaireni Gaonpalika-2 has been removed unilaterally by a dozer but it will take some time for the two-way operation to take place. Even though small stones have been removed with the help of dozers, breakers have to be used to remove large stones, said Yuvaraj Timilsina, Deputy Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, Tanahun.
The Aabukhaireni-Mugling road section has been blocked by landslides from time to time. Even when there is no rain, there is a problem of dry landslides. This is the most landslide prone area on the 72 km highway of Tanahu under the Mugling section from Kotre.
