KATHMANDU: Chief of the Indian Army General Manoj Mukunda Narwane is scheduled to visit Nepal. According to Indian media, Narwane is scheduled to visit Nepal from November 4.
As soon as Samant Kumar Goyal, the head of the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) of the Indian intelligence agency, arrived in Nepal last week, Indian security chief is set to visit Nepal.
According to news agency PTI, Narwane will spend three days in Nepal. In this context, he is scheduled to meet his counterpart, Chief of Army Staff Purnachandra Thapal and other high-ranking officials.
The visit of the Indian Army Chief to Nepal has been viewed as meaningful at a time when there are border disputes between Nepal and India in areas including Kalapani.
According to PTI, Narwane will discuss with Nepali officials on managing the Nepal-India open border.
