CHITWAN: Chairman of the Nepal Communist Party (CPN) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the struggle against the disaster should be carried out unitedly.
Addressing a meeting of the District Disaster Management Committee here today, he said that the struggle against corona and disaster should not be weakened.
He said, “The country is at high risk of floods. At such a time, the party’s political activities and other controversies should not weaken the unity. If the work of weakening the party unity is done from somewhere, it is not considered as work for the people. ”
Taking a positive view of the initiatives being taken in favor of party unity, he said, “Your initiative is also being taken in this. Thank you for that. ” He urged to move forward in the coming days with more determination and unity.
He suggested to be vigilant and fight against Kovid-19 by uniting with high morale.
Former Prime Minister Dahal said that all political forces, civil society and journalists should be united against the disease.
He also informed that a detailed study report has been prepared and submitted to the Ministry of Finance for the construction of embankments on the Rapti, Narayani and Riu rivers in the district.
Chairman Dahal said, “This is my dream project. It becomes the basis of prosperity for the people of Chitwan. ” He also stressed on the need to pay attention to the management of the rivers in the district.
Dahal stressed on the need to prepare for disaster management and development work before the rains.
During the meeting, Chief District Officer Narayan Prasad Bhattarai briefed about the overall disaster management preparations of the district and the current situation.
