BAGLUNG: Relief money has been distributed to football players who are in financial trouble after losing the competition due to corona virus. District Football Association Baglung, with the support of Akhil Nepal Football Association, provided relief to 15 professional players and four officials at the rate of Rs 4,000 on Wednesday.
Distributing the relief money, Gandaki State Assembly member Indralal Sapkota said that the sports sector was the basis of prosperity and progress.
He praised the football association for helping the players during the crisis. District president of the association Ram Raj Gurung said that only the players who played in A, B and C division leagues including the district league were given relief. He said that Rs 76,000 has been spent on relief for the players and officials. The players were happy to understand the relief amount check.
