KATHMANDU: Gold price hit a new record on Friday. According to the Federation of Nepali Gold and Silver Merchants, gold, which has been rising continuously for the last time, has increased by Rs 1,300 on Friday and is still trading at a high of Rs 95,800.
On Thursday, the price of gold rose by Rs 500 to Rs 94,500 per tola. This week alone, the price of gold has risen by Rs 3,300.
Similarly, on Friday the price rose by Rs 5 per tola to Rs 1,150. Silver was traded at Rs 1,145 per ounce yesterday.
According to the federation, there is no other investment sector due to the corona virus and the price of gold is rising due to the volatile and uncertain market.
