Myagdi landslide: Death toll rises to 17, three injured

MYAGDI : The death risen to 17 after incessant rains in Myagdi. Police said that three persons were toll from a landslide in Myagdi on Friday has rescued alive.

According to the State Police Office, Gandaki, a joint team of Nepal Police and Nepal Army found 17 people dead in a landslide in Dhawalagiri and Malika villages of Myagdi district. Among the dead are 10 in Dhawalagiri and seven in Malika.

The deceased have been identified as Sukna Lamgade, Ashish Lamgade, Ayush Lamgade, Ayusha Lamgade, Reshma Sunar, Man Sunar, Kamala Shrapali, Suraksha Shrapali, Suraj Shrapali and Prakash KC, son of Janima KC. Gave. According to him, the deceased have been identified as Bishnu Poudel, Gaudevi Nepali, Bishesh Nepali, Bir Bahadur Nepali and his three-month-old son and Bishnu Nepali.

Similarly, three of the missing have been rescued alive. The injured have been rescued by helicopter and sent to Beni Hospital and Pokhara Manipal Hospital for treatment. The search for the other missing persons is on, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Regmi.

According to him, Purna Bahadur Nepali, 36, of Malika Gaonpalika-7 is undergoing treatment at Beni Hospital, Manjita Sripali, 22, of Dhawalagiri Gaonpalika-6 (pregnant woman with back problem) and Safal Sripali, 7, of the same place are undergoing treatment at Manipal Hospital in Pokhara. His condition is normal.
