KATHMANDU: Vice chairman of ruling Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Bamdev Gautam has presented a six-point proposal to help resolve the ongoing dispute in the party.
The proposal was presented to party chairs duo KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ with an intention of helping resolve dispute plaguing the party since a long time.
According to leader Gautam’s personal secretary Deepak Tamata, the proposal is for Oli to continue with the premiership until new election of House of Representatives and chairmanship until the party’s general convention.
Similarly, another chair Dahal will be assigned full executive power to run party activities until the general convention. Another point in the proposal states that the party would not interfere in the day-to-day activities of the government but the government should seek advice of party central secretariat before any important decisions.
Similarly, Gautam purposes to reshuffle the Cabinet on the recommendation of party Secretariat. The proposal further reads to discuss in the party before making appointment on political and constitutional posts.
He also opines to hold party meeting at party central office as meetings were being held in PM’s official residence in Baluwatar since long.
