Experts suggest to lock down again for two weeks

Public health experts say the corona infection rate is rising and have suggested the government Lockdown again.

During a discussion held at the Prime Minister’s residence in Baluwatar today, experts suggested to play an effective role in controlling the corona by keeping it locked for at least two weeks.

Chairman of the Janata Samajwadi Party, Mahanta Thakur, said that experts, including himself, had suggested a two-week lockout to play an effective role in controlling the corona. According to Thakur, the Prime Minister has taken positively the suggestion of experts to suspend him for two weeks.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli said the tendency to take the crisis as an opportunity to protest should be changed.

In a meeting held today to discuss with experts the strategy to be taken now in the context of increasing risk of corona infection, the Prime Minister said that the crisis should not be taken as an opportunity to protest.

Prime Minister Oli has urged not to hold a large number of meetings and gatherings as the situation of corona infection is becoming sensitive.

During the meeting, President of the Nepali Congress, the main opposition party, Sher Bahadur Deuba, said that the decision on whether or not to carry out the strike should be taken based on the level of infection in the community.

Deuba said that everyone should be strict in maintaining social distance and wearing masks.
