KATHMANDU: Five more people have been confirmed dead in Nepal due to corona virus infection. One died in Kathmandu, two each in Parsa and Morang. A 65-year-old woman of Sarlahi Malangwa-6, who was confirmed as Corona, died at the Armed Police Force Hospital in Balambu today.
According to Armed Police Spokesperson DIG Raju Aryal, the woman was admitted to the police hospital on July 31. The woman, who was undergoing treatment at Manmohan Hospital, was referred to the police hospital after showing symptoms of corona. Scrub typhus was also seen in the woman undergoing treatment for pneumonia.
Similarly, corona infection has been confirmed in the isolation ward of Koshi Hospital, Morang, Biratnagar and among the men of Biratnagar who died on the way to the hospital. A 45-year-old man of Rangeli Municipality-8 Darbesa died on the way to the hospital this morning due to health problems. The infection was confirmed by collecting swabs and testing them in the laboratory of Koshi Hospital as they have symptoms similar to those of corona.
Two more people have died in Parsa due to corona infection. A 46-year-old man from Birgunj-15 and an 18-year-old girl from Pokhariya Municipality-8 have died in the incident, said Health Ministry spokesperson Dr Jageshwor Gautam. A man from Birgunj, who was admitted to the hospital yesterday due to fever, died at the temporary Covid Hospital of Narayani Hospital at 6 this morning.
Similarly, a young woman from Parsa died on the way to the National Medical College in Birgunj after suffering from diarrhea and vomiting. After death, the corona was tested positive in the laboratory of Narayani Hospital in Birgunj. At the same time, the number of deaths due to corona infection in Nepal has reached 63. The health ministry said only 60 people had died from corona so far.
