KATHMANDU: The government has implemented odd-even system in private and public vehicles from tomorrow. Spokesperson of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Joint Secretary Chakra Bahadur Budha informed that the force has been implemented with the increased risk of Corona Virus (Covid-19).
In all the three districts within the Kathmandu Valley and outside the Kathmandu Valley where more than 200 active corona is infected, the vehicle push-pull system will be implemented.
The government had removed the ban on private vehicles from July 10 and allowed public transport to operate in three districts in the Kathmandu Valley and outside the district. Similarly, it was decided to allow long distance driving from September 1.
But as the risk of corona infection increases, experts have suggested that vigorous measures be taken. In a discussion with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli yesterday, experts also suggested tightening and enforcing health standards instead of a complete crackdown.
