KATHMANDU: Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giriraj Mani Pokharel has expressed interest in the academic session at a time when the number of coronavirus infected people is not certain.
Minister Pokharel has directed the Curriculum Development Center to prepare a report on the impact of the corona virus on the academic session. He gave such instructions at a meeting of the Curriculum Development and Evaluation Council chaired by Minister Pokharel on Wednesday.
Minister Pokharel has asked the Center to conduct a detailed study after the academic session was affected due to the suspension of studies since last April. The government has decided that the exams and student admissions will not be open until at least 15 August due to Coronavirus.
The cabinet meeting held on Monday has decided to close schools, colleges, tuition centers, training centers and other educational institutions until further notice.
